Below is my Illustration of a typical OSGR Starter on a 4cyl engine.
And is here to help you determine if you may be able to replace the Solenoid kit
With out having to remove the Starter from the engine.
If you can access the points of the OSGR Starter the red arrows are pointing out.
(Not just 4cyl applications. Also on 6cyl and V8’s)
Then it is possible to do it this way. But you need to be able to perform all the steps
indicated in the directions link I have sent to your email address.
The most difficult step may be the one involving the flat punch.
You should also keep in mind, it is nessary for a socket to fit the nut on both of the Starter post's

This page is here because of questions received from customers.
This is not my recommendation or an endorsement by me to do it this way.
The fact is, it's a lot easier to install the kit with the Starter removed from the Car/Truck
But if you think you would like to try it this way. Then I hope this is of some help!
